About the owners of
Arizona Slabs and Cabs

Adrienne is originally from Long Island, New York. Spencer is originally from Colorado.

In 1998, we met in a single's chatroom on the internet. We got together when we realized that we both designed websites and decided that we made a good team. She was a designer and I was a programmer. She had a problem with a page that she was working on and sent it to me. I fixed it in about 2 minutes and sent it back to her. She was impressed! And I was impressed with her design. It was beautiful! So we started Columbine-Rosebud Enterprises as a web designing business. Columbine is the state flower of Colorado, and Rosebud was Adrienne's screen name on the internet. Our username became "corosbud", back when usernames could only be 8 characters.
His second favorite pastime! Adrienne was an international champion archer, and she got me interested in archery. After a short stint with a bad archery shop, we started our own business on the internet. It was, and still is, Bullseye Archery, although the archery part of it is pretty much dead. It is where we sell hunting and fishing related items, like our very realistic fish, wildlife, and bird decals.

Since Bullseye Archery was kind of a "dude" site, Adrienne wanted a more feminine site, so she came up with A Ritzi Gift Shop, a place for gift items, fountains, statues and such.

Whopper of a Bass!
Tasteee tooo!

We live in a 5th wheel trailer and became snowbirds. Shortly after 9/11/2001, we were headed for Mexico and decided not to leave the country. We stopped in Arizona and got seasonal jobs. We live very close to Quartzsite, Arizona, one of the biggest outdoor swap meets in the winter, and one of the biggest rockhounding paradises in the country. Lapidary is a major part of Quartzsite. I happened to have an old lapidary combo unit in storage that I'd had for 20+ years. Rock collecting has been a hobby since I was 6. So I drug out the machine and started getting serious about cutting and polishing rocks. Adrienne learned wire-wrapping in Quartzsite. Now, I cut and polish rocks and Adrienne wire-wraps them. Adrienne found us a source for lapidary equipment, and Nature's Gifts was born. Nature's Gifts is all about stuff that we get from nature and the tools to work with them. Lapidary equipment, rocks, gemstones, gemstone jewelry, butterfly decals. Our main line is the lapidary equipment. We sell saws, grinders, and a new flatlap machine. I now own and use all of them and I love them! I am about to retire my old Lortone!
Adrienne, partner in life!
Jewelry Artist, Internet Junkie and Web Designer (Creative Part!)

We live in Arizona from October to April, away from the snow and bitter cold. In the summer, from April to October, we move to Wyoming where I work for an irrigation company. Mostly I wait until they need a water level change, which isn't very often. I'm also security for the valves. Lots of free time, so we collect rocks mainly from the Wind River, mostly petrified wood, limb casts, agates, jaspers, and jade. We also cut rocks and do our eBay work.

Recent news:
September 2, 2017 - We are fully retired from all of our businesses. To those of you who still follow my antics, thank you very much for your business/support over the years. We have trimmed our websites down to only 3. Bullseyearchery and Nature's Gifts are gone. So is Adrienne's Beads. Designs by Adrienne will remain indefinitely, although it is inactive. Columbinerosebud.com will remain as our main corporate site, although it is also inactive and mostly just for nostalgia. It was a good run, and we did a lot of business, but now Adrienne's health is so bad that we just can't catch a break and sell anymore.
Arizonaslabsandcabs.com is gone, but Azslabs.com has taken it's place. It's just so much easier to type!

May 23, 2008 - Due to rising eBay fees, we were forced to shut down our eBay Store - bullseyearchery. We still have natures-gifts2000 for now, but I think it's days are numbered.

September 21, 2007 - We joined up with a new auction site devoted strictly to lapidary! www.dragonsayeauctions.com. It looks like a very nice alternative to ePay! Free to buy and cheap to sell!!! Check it out!

April 29, 2007 - We just launched our newest website...azslabs.com.

April 4, 2005 - We got married on a riverboat in Laughlin, Nevada!!! Who says internet romances don't work??

January 1, 2006 - We changed our username on eBay from "corosbud" to "natures-gifts2000".

January 2006 - We bought a 10 inch slab saw. I am now cutting slabs and selling them in our eBay Store.

February 2006 - We removed all fish and wildlife decals. We have no plans to continue them in the future. We will continue to sell the butterflies until our stock is gone.

Late February 2006 - We started to run out of room in our eBay Store, so we started a new Store under bullseyearchery.
This new store will be sporting goods related items. We have a lot of archery equipment left over from the old archery shop. We have moved the fly-fishing tapered leaders there, too. We also decided to start selling the fish and wildlife decals in that store.

May 2006 - We bought an 18 inch slab saw from a friend of a friend in Iowa. Long trip from Wyoming to Iowa, but well worth it! My slab cutting has taken a giant step up! The package deal included about 200 Brazilian Agate slabs.

August 2006 - We acquired about 1/2 ton of genuine Wyoming Jade! We have all types: pink, pink and green, spinach green, sage green, apple green, green, snowflake, and black. Mostly we have rocks! They are becoming slabs, but it's slow work. We also have over 1000 cabochons already cut and polished. It was all mined at a jade mine outside of Riverton, Wyoming.

August 2006 - We just introduced Uncle Tom's Lot-O-Buffers and Lot-O-Tumblers.
